Guide to Create a Stunning Orchid Arrangement

Orchids are amazing plants with beautiful flowers that you can find everywhere, from big box stores like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart, to grocery stores. They come in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and shapes. Recently, Chuck started collecting several orchids and wanted to combine them into a single pot. Here’s how you can create your own beautiful orchid arrangement with this Orchid Arrangement Guide.

What You’ll Need:

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Plants:
    • Orchids usually come in decorative pots, but the actual plant is in a plastic pot inside, with holes at the bottom to allow the roots to breathe. Keep the orchids in these plastic pots.
  2. Remove the Orchids:
    • Take the orchids out of their decorative pots, leaving them in their plastic pots.
  3. Mark the Saucer:
    • Turn the plastic saucer upside down. Use a Sharpie to trace the outline where you want to place each plant.
  4. Cut the Holes:
    • Cut holes in the plastic saucer where you traced the outlines. Ensure the plants fit snugly in these holes.
  5. Prepare the Pot:
    • Add some orchid potting mix to the bottom of the pot. This layer will help maintain moisture and humidity for the roots.
  6. Place the Saucer:
    • Position the plastic saucer upside down in the pot over the potting mix. Wet the soil at the bottom to keep the environment humid for the roots.
  7. Insert the Orchids:
    • Place the orchids in the holes you cut in the saucer, ensuring they are secure and stable.
  8. Add More Potting Mix:
    • Carefully add more orchid potting mix around the plastic pots, pulling back the leaves to spread the mix evenly. Ensure the plastic pots are covered.

The Final Result:

Your orchid arrangement should now look beautiful and can serve as a stunning centerpiece or a lovely addition to an end table. Enjoy your gorgeous orchid display with the help of this orchid arrangement guide!
